Since the 90s, its economic pattern has changed from being primarily service-oriented to one with a broader and more diversified spectrum, including transport, commerce, and communications.
Hyderabad is a craft hub and produces bangles, silverware, saris, paintings and artifacts, unique handcrafted items such as Bidri wares, silkware, cottonware, and clothing materials that have been traded through the city for centuries now. It is expected that Hyderabad will soon be a major transit hub between the US, Europe, and Asia, as it is one of the fastest growing economies in India. It has also proved to be highly investment friendly economies.
Hyderabad is a city of diverse cultures. While Hinduism is still the most practiced and popular religion of the city, Muslims form the largest community in the city. The presence of the other three major religions, namely Islam, Christianity, and Buddhism, makes Hyderabad a potpourri of various ethnic groups.
